"real safari chic"

2009-03-23

Toronto fashion week closed on a very hopeful note Friday night as some of the country’s newest and youngest designers took over the catwalk. Carlie Wong, Evan Biddell, and Lucian Matis - all Project Runway Canada alumni - showed their autumn/winter goodies after a handful of Ryerson students were honoured with a viewing of their finest pieces.

Lucian Matis tailored in his normally over-the-top designs for a much more wearable collection. Brown, khaki, and camel colours took shape in blazers, frocks, and capes which were topped with animalistic accessories - from antlers to bone cuffs - making for real safari chic.
