Heavy dose of Dandi Maestre’s
organic-inspired jewels –

Greta Constantine sure knows how to get a girl in the mood… for fashion that is. Today kicks off the start of L’Oreal Fashion Week but the fashitarian was treated to a teaser last Wednesday with the Toronto duo’s spring runway show at Circa. Former Project Runway Canada contestant Stephen Wong and his design partner Kirk Pickersgill have created a cult following with their fledgling label and it showed: everyone from the local hipsterati to ladies-who-lunch flocked to the club to see GC’s collection. The show itself was a gorgeous profusion of Grecian gowns, flirty day dresses and jet-set ready maillots cut in decadent jewel toned jerseys. The boys complementing their pieces with a heavy dose of Dandi Maestre’s organic-inspired jewels – think raw cut stones, pre-historic style tusks and reclaimed woods – and even threw in several of her new bags for good measure. Sure some of the looks were like déjà vu from last season but that’s not the point. The crowd wanted a show and that’s what Greta Constantine gave them.
