Something Wild and Wonderful This Way Comes

Greta Constantine's Fall "08 collection, part Four, celebrates the fun, multifaceted female form

For Fall 2008, Greta Constantine -from duo designers Kirk Pickersgill and Stephen Wong- boldly explores the fantasy of the feminine mystique in the collection Part Four, an homage to the label's fourth season in fashion. Joining their effortlessly-elegant and true-to-form draped-jersey creations are hand-sculpted, utilitarian looks that combine neoprene with long-haired goat and shearing: a product of their collaboration with Toronto-based jewelry designer Dandi Maestre.

"Dandi uses bone, horns and other materials to create really raw, exotic, simple yet beautiful pieces with great energy", says Kirk. She brought a primal, Paleolithic presence to the table and we were inspired to play with more natural-looking fabrics."

Emphasizing the pair's focus on fun and flirtatious fashion is a colour palette that includes pistachio, royal purple, wine, white, black and beige.

"If it's not fun, what's the point?"
